I’ve seen them five more times since, and will see them again this fall. I can’t believe they’re still at it after all these years, and have the energy to tour — these guys are all around 70 now. When I bought tickets I discovered that fan club members get early access so I rejoined the fan club after having let my membership lapse in the 90s. I got selected for the club Web site’s Fan of the Week feature. Oh good heavens. But sure, I’ll play. They wanted photos of me doing metal things wearing Iron Maiden swag. I …don’t do metal things anymore, not really. But I put on a band T-shirt, parked my car in the driveway at an angle, put the Df on a tripod, and made this to send them.
