Kamy and the Pedicab

Kamy and the Pedicab – Havana, Cuba As Kamy and I walked around Old Havana looking for character-filled architecture, I hit upon an idea. I saw a nearby pedicab and thought it would make an excellent prop and location for our next shoot. While a slightly different vehicle, I remembered a photoshoot in India long ago using a tuk-tuk. I shot considerably more images than during my India shoot. And Kamy, an experienced model, offered more ready-made poses. I shot wide and close. I paid the pedicab driver about five dollars, as I recall, for his trouble. Then I got him into the action. We even did a little playacting, having Kamy and the driver interact. I think we even moved the pedicab to have a more desirable background. It all worked out well and offered a different set of images from just a pure architectural background.
