So. Here's what happened. I wrote the whole dang thing explaining what happened in session 6 where the party tracked down a mech and kicked its ass. It was really cool. Then my browser refreshed and everything was gone and I said "I'd get to it later." A full 'nother session passed after that. So we're gonna do a truncated version while I talk about Game Mechanics! Steel Beowulf Let's talk about big game hunting in tabletop games. Every DM at some point has thought "Man, I want my party to track down a particularly large and ornery monster and when they figure out the clues and and stuff they have one big showdown and it's really fucking cool." Then the plan hits the table and the party rolls a couple investigation rolls and then kicks its ass in one go. It's a bummer.
