Here you can see my thought processes and what steps I took to get to the answer, but of course there are many different ways of reaching the same results. The challengeThis challenge contains one question: What is the minimum amount of TNT needed to shatter windows 30 meters away? In the first challenge in this series it became clear that an overpressure of 1 psi can shatter windows. So, in this scenario, the overpressure must be 1 psi at a distance of 30 meters away from the location of the TNT. How much TNT creates that level of psi at 30 meters? I tried to look for some type of calculator that would be able to estimate blast overpressure or damage. My first try at a search query into Google was: estimate blast damage I first arrived at this blast calculator, but I was unable to use it because I had no data about the angle of incidence.
