I've been meaning to get a daily hexfill practice going for awhile, to get fluent with OD&D procedures via Delving Deeper. This will be the first of the bunch, a classic ogre lair. Meat-and-potatoes subject matter, but I aimed to fill it with character. My named Thudcrumper. ThudcrumperSome years ago, Thudcrumper the ogre loped into the mountains and took up residence in an old rock-cut watchtower in the cliffs. For miles around, mothers scold their children to stay off the steep pine-covered slopes beyond dusk, lest Thudcrumper gobble them up. Despite his dread reputation, Thudcrumper solicits sacrifices from his neighbors instead of devouring them all. A little judicious terror every now and again means trinkets and sheep brought to his doorstep—even the occasional human sacrifice. Thudcrumper differs from a normal ogre. He has three heads and six mouths, which give him a voice like a chorus. The upper mouths are well-proportioned like Oxian statues, while the enormous lower mouths…
