Star Trek: Nemesis – Or, How To Kill a Franchise In Two Hours

On the floor of the Romulan Senate, a momentous offer is under debate: an attempt by Shinzon (Tom Hardy), ruler of the twin world Remus, home of the Reman pariah class, to forge an alliance between the two worlds against which even the Federation must falter. Though the military is all for it, the Senators are by and large sceptical – so Senator Tal’aura (Shannon Cochran), who’s all for the deal, deploys plan B: a bioweapon which eliminates all the other Senators and paves the way for a pro-Shinzon coup on Romulus. Meanwhile, Riker and Troi are getting married, and all their old crewmates are here to celebrate – and to congratulate them on their new posts as captain and second in command of the Titan. As the Enterprise-E gives the various guests a lift to Betazed for that part of the festivities their intended destination, sensors pick up the call to adventure – positronic readings from a pre-Warp world, suggesting someone’s dumped a Data-like android somewhere an android has no good…
