This Month’s Picture… ex SER crane tank No.1302. Originally numbered N°302 in SER stock, then A302, it was built for service at Folkestone Harbour, it spent time at Ashford work, Dover, Richborough. Renumbered as N°A234S by the Southern Railway and Worked at lancing works until the autumn of 1938 when it was sent for overhaul and the fitting of an enclosed cab in place of the pillar supported canopy. Renumbered as N°1302 when returned to traffic in November 1938, it was sent to Stewarts Lane to assist in the shunting of the C.W.S. Milk Depot. Somehow it has ended up for a brief spell at Canute Road Quay… Canute Road Quay will be heading North, to Scotland no less, this month to make an appearance at the Perth Model Railway Group exhibition on 27th & 28th June at the Dewars Centre, Glover St, Perth PH2 0TH
