In our last episode, I’d expressed some concern about the springback in the keel impacting the alignment of the transom, at least until I was able to add the sheer clamps and planking, which should lock everything into place. I came up with something to hopefully address this concern: a simple ratchet strap. I looped the strap around the building frame and through the opening in the stem post. After tightening it down, there’s no way that assembly is going to bend up.
