on The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova Diary:It was raining this morning. I was too worried that I might procrastinate my routine just because the morning was cold and inviting to sleep in. But I persevere, like a real functioning adult. I finished this book last month and wondering why I have no substance to talk about immediately. As the time went by and after finishing three more books in between, I have something to say about this book apparently. The last big book I read was A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, which was 5-6 years ago. 700 page book is already a big challenge for me but somehow I still want to read The Historian because of the premise. It was mainly about the history of vampire (not Cullen clan) and how protagonist uncover the secret and dark society and all that jazz. I bought the mass paperback version published by Back Bay Books from secondhand bookshop last year and actually surprised at how dense the book felt.
