OK, so I'm the first person to admit that, for all my moaning about bugs and enshitiffication etc, I still feel Apple makes the best products and software. Except for one thing. Siri. It's so bad, it's comical. Everyone jokes about how awful it is. I've told my HomePods I'm trading them in for Echo Dots. Siri replies with "I don't understand". Seriously? Like an indignant toddler, it ignores what it doesn't want to hear. I cannot believe that in 2026, I still can't ask Siri a multi-step question on my HomePods. It needs simple instructions, given one at a time. Sometimes I ask it something and it replies with an answer, and other times it just tells me to "ask again on iPhone" without even trying. Why? What's the logic? Just answer the bloody question! Then there's the mysterious workaround, where if it gives the above response you say "Siri, I have a question" first and then it will answer the exact same question. Again, why?
