It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of our nearby communities partnering with the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) on their Inside|Art program of artwork reproductions. When I saw the artwork displayed at Wilcox Lake Recreation Area in Plymouth, Michigan, I thought the city of Plymouth was one of the Inside|Out partner communities for 2026. I was wrong. The Wilcox Lake art reproduction seen in today’s photo of the week is part of Wayne County Parks Hines Park installations in Northville, Plymouth, Livonia, and Westland. Last time I remember Edward Hines Park participated in the Inside|Out programs was in 2015. I’ve enjoyed exploring our nearby southeast Michigan communities over the years. Hard to believe the Inside|Out program is now in its 26th year! Cycles One of six Inside|Out artworks installed in Wayne County Parks, you’ll find Cycles on the north side of the restroom building at Wilcox Lake Recreation Area east of Northville Road, south of Edward Hines Drive.
