Orginal post: 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks Hugh Williams was born in Wales about 1800 and died at his son's house in North Eaton (in Eaton Township), Wyoming County, Pennsylvania 18 May 1889.1,2,3 He married probably about 1831, Ann "Nancy" Lewis. She was born in Wales about 1800 and died in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania 15 September 1853.4 He arrived in Philadelphia with his wife and infant son on 25 September 1833 aboard the Criterion.5 They settled in what was then Luzerne County, now Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.6 In 1850 and 1860, the family was in Forkston where Hugh was farming.7,8 By 1870, Hugh moved in with his son William in North Branch Township.9 Children of Hugh and Ann (Lewis) Williams:2 Richard Williams, b.
