I spend every minute outside of work with my kids and as the weather gets nicer I tend to document their adventures both for ourselves and our family back in Europe. I also really don't like to hold my phone while I spend time with them even if it's just to take an image or video. A phone always takes me away from the moment. My kids also behave very differently when a phone is placed between me and them. For that reason I pretty much always carry with me my Fuji XE5 and recently a DJI Osmo Nano camera. The Osmo Nano is a very nifty little device, a tiny adventure camera with a detachable base that serves as the monitor and control panel. I simply leave the base in the car and carry with me only the minimalistic camera module. It also has the nice advantage of capturing video in D-Log which allows for better color grading in post. Now if you read my previous post on my photography journey you may know that I really don't want to spend any time in post and recently disabled RAW capture…
