The eight book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. There's really nothing I can say at this point that won't be a spoiler, so here's a post with barely anything. Book 5, 6 and 7 remain my favorites so far. They're really strong in how the tension builds up and explodes. After all that action, book 8 is a slightly calmer book of planning and regrouping. Then we enter the last +/- 100 pages and it's clear that the time to fight back has once again arrived. I think there's only two more books coming. The author is so good so far in tying up loose ends that I can't wait to see how everything will come together at the end. Although this volume wasn't my favorite of all the books so far, the series keeps its special place in my heart. They're novels filled with laughter, sadness, stress, and a good dose of motivation to be a kind person and to resist cruelty and oppression. Until the next book! ~boops you on the nose~ You can see all of my reviews for books from this series here.
