Highlight of the week: finally checked the old trailcam (which can’t handle rain but works when it’s dry, so we set it up as a scout camera to test locations) — two bobcat sightings! Looking forward to: the Seattle area has had so many freeway closures recently, I’ve been feeling “trapped” at home on weekends for the past couple months — but apparently all the construction is getting put on hold for the World Cup — I’ve been wanting to go to a couple furniture consignment places in Seattle, so may soon have the opportunity Stuff I did: 10.25 hours consulting took Monday off for Memorial Day headed up to Flower World for their Japanese maple 30% off sale — spent an hour and a half comparing Japanese maples… all the ones I liked best were too big or too expensive so we kinda gave up and picked a reasonable specimen… then as we were walking over to pay, my husband was like wait that plant’s cool — a dwarf weeping redbud (I LOVE redbuds) — so we ditched the maple and came home with the…
