A hand-painted map of the eight main Hawaiian Islands, created with watercolor, Copic marker, and Adobe Fresco. These two handmade mixed-media maps of Hawaiʻi show the islands at two scales: the familiar eight major Hawaiian Islands and the full 1,500-mile archipelago stretching from Hawaiʻi Island to Kure Atoll. The larger archipelago map includes remote atolls, shoals, rocks, and fragments across the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. The companion map focuses on the classic view of Hawaiʻi, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and Niʻihau. View the handmade Hawaiian Islands maps on Notes from the Road →
