I recently returned the Yashica MF-2 camera I bought earlier this year. I liked the pictures I got with the camera, but the camera itself is too bulky for my ultimate purpose for using a basic film camera. In addition, the flash was finnicky and didn't always work. While I will primarily be taking photos outdoors in (preferably) good lighting, having a reliable flash is ideal. I searched around for another point-and-shoot film camera and found the Pentax Espio 738G. This is a "newer" camera (from the 90s) and features a zoom lens! It also relies on a battery to power it - it's not purely mechanical like the Yashica. It auto loads and auto rewinds film, and has a few different shooting modes (including a self timer). I put a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 film to test once again, and I liked the results. See for yourself! I was particularly impressed with the shot of the moon I was able to get with this basic device.
