Outside of work, which is always busy, there are is a myriad of little things to get done. Working at home makes this easier, for sure, but I have found that some days just end up being busier than others. Today is a good example. It’s pay day so I need to move some money around into the right accounts. I do this every month so all bills are paid automatically and we don’t miss any. And as it’s the last week day of the month, I’ve checked my Reminders to find 33 tasks for today! Now. I have about 5 recurring tasks every weekday and they take minutes to do, but the rest are a mix of things we chatted about on holiday —a new bike cover, creating a photo book of the holiday, getting the front seat covers sorted— and a myriad of random tasks that, without realising, I’d set to have a deadline of today. Thankfully they don’t all need DONE today so I took 10 minutes to spread them out over the coming week when I know I have a little free time to tackle them. That gets me down to 10 items,…
