Much as I love puzzle games, I have to admit I find it quite hard to stick with them when they get teeth-gnashingly tough. There’s a persistent little voice in the back of my head eager to remind me that I just don’t need to tidy up faceless blocks or push things into corners. No fictional world’s going to end if I fail to match some colours under a strict time limit. A game wants me to get rid of six things in three moves but try as I might I can only do it in four? I’ll happily leave those whatevers where they are and go play something else instead. But helping people? Helping people stuck in dangerous situations while playing as the coolest and most confident person in the crumbling room? That’s the kind of hero I always enjoy playing as, no matter how well I may or may not handle the scenario in question. And this is the Exit difference: personality.
