Unforgivable flaw in a shark movie

I've got no problem with bad movies. I love a bad movie. Some of my favourite films are bad movies. I love a big dumb monster movie and recently I've been watching some bad shark movies. I make a highly personal distinction between films and movies. Sharknado might be objectively the worst film I've ever watched but damn if I wasn't absolutely enthralled all the way through. I was vibrating with delight. Hooting. Any amount of implausibility, any terrible acting, bad scripts, janky cgi, I can take it. I just want to be entertained. What I cannot forgive is a boring bad shark movie. Recently I watched a shark movie so tedious I would have fed myself to the shark if I was one of the characters. Just for something to do. Then there was Thrash, on Netflix. It was implausible, people making bad decisions, but it's real flaw was that it was boring.
