recently, i've been thinking back to a magazine issue on one of my teachers' desk in middle school. i don't remember what magazine it was, but the issue was titled "are you a screen zombie?", and the main story was, of course, about screen addiction. that was from ~15 years ago. and... hehe. i can see the problem has certainly gotten worse since then. :P it's ridiculous how much that little black slab in your pocket has taken over our lives. people's social lives live in their phone, if they even have one to begin with. specialized device ownership (cameras, media players, etc.) among the masses are kaput, because they're all on your phone. you can't even do your work, park your car, get tickets to events, or pay your bills without specialized phone apps. it's nonsensical. but it's not even our fault. and by "our", i mean we, the masses. the techbros at the top have all but decided that being a screen zombie is a part of being human, i guess. we didn't ask for this. we never needed…
