I recently joined RevenueCat, the platform that handles monetization for 60% of all iOS apps. Onboarding to a company this large used to be a slow and steady process: pairing, reading, and a thousand little "why is this here" questions over months. But this time was different. From day one, I had a bunch of agents (Notion AI, Slackbot, Claude with MCPs and infinite tokens) that assisted me in learning and shipping. Not all questions need to be serious I think the effect is net positive. I was able to ship features spanning multiple codebases faster than I expected, because I could ask AI to find documentation, create visualizations to explain things, search Notion and Slack for previous conversations about the tradeoffs I was navigating, run many rounds of self-review, and compare similar implementations.
