“Aleyara’s Flight” is an AnLab award finalist!

I’m a little late to announce this, but “Aleyara’s Flight” has been voted by Analog Science Fiction and Fact readers as a finalist for Best Novella in the 2025 Analytical Laboratory awards! According to the Science Fiction Awards Database, “The Analytical Laboratory (AnLab) is the annual readers’ poll conducted by Analog magazine to determine the favorite stories, articles, and cover art published each year.” Most of the finalist stories for 2025, including “Aleyara’s Flight,” can be read in their entirety here: 2025 Analytical Laboratory Finalists The winners will be announced on the above website, probably sometime in June, and in the September/October issue of Analog. “Aleyara’s Flight” is one of five finalists, but win or lose, I’m honored and flattered that enough readers loved to story to vote it one of their favorites of the year.
