Looking for an inexpensive lunch in Farringdon/ Clerkenwell? Bánh Mì Aha! is a strong contender. Bánh Mì Aha! has been serving Vietnamese street food from its St John Street spot since 2021, one of now three London locations, with a fourth on the way. The Farringdon location is a couple of minutes walk from the Museum of the Order of St John, and about five minutes away from the Charterhouse, two of Clerkenwell best loved landmarks. I visited one lunchtime in April 2026 and here’s my review. Bánh Mì Aha! first impressions: a warm welcome The first thing that stood out was how easy it all felt. I’d barely sat down before a full carafe of tap water appeared. Not just plain, either, but water with a sprig of mint and a couple of slices of lemon. That is such a lovely detail, and one that makes you feel welcome straight away.
