yesterday i found myself in a book store in my hometown. i had no idea it even existed. when i’m in town it’s generally to go to work and i head home afterwards. but on my day off, my friends and i walked into this book store. as i was browsing i found this book that looked pretty on the outside. i know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover but i guess i’m a little shallow that way. i took the book to the counter and asked how much it would cost. £19. i said i’d think about it. i was curious how much it would cost online, so i got out my phone and found the same book for £9.50. i’ll be honest, i don’t have a ton of disposable income right now. i could easily just buy the book online and save myself a bit of money. this is somewhat of an ethical dilemma for most people. why would you spend X when you could get it cheaper online? it’s a shame this is the world we live in right now. but it got me thinking. how lucky am i to have an independent book store right on my doorstep!…
