The first recording today starts with the end of Sportsround. There’s a trail for Gastronuts. Then it’s What’s New Scooby-Doo? – Riva Ras Regas. The episode opens with Rufus Raucous, a magician in Las Vegas, doing an escape from a hotel that’s being demolished. But he doesn’t make it and the hotel is demolished. The Scooby Gang are in Las Vegas, visiting the Newark Newark Hotel. They’ve won a competition, and they’re met by the hotel owner, Del Stone. Their prize is the chance to meet singing star Lindsey Pagano. Her rehearsal is interrupted by the ghost of Rufus Raucous appearing on the monitors and blasting fire. The fire drops a hanging boat, and Fred has to save Lindsay from being crushed. Lindsay rather falls for Fred. Daphne screams again, but it’s not a ghost, it’s her favourite boy band, who are opening for Lindsay. I think they’ve caught the dialogue perfectly. “Hey, what’s with all the flappity lip flip?
