Luke Plunkett / Aftermath: Famicase! I love it! If you’re new to the word, Meteor in Tokyo have an annual exhibition where artists from around the world dream up an interesting/funny video game and design a cartridge for it, even though the game itself does not exist. I appreciate this every year, and I appreciate Luke Plunkett posting about it across his entire writing career. You can check out the full gallery for 2026 here. Of course, at the top of the post, I’ve shared my favorite above — a cartridge for a faux game called QROSSxFire.
