Walking in the Malvern Hills. Party, Pendle and Puddleducks in Lancashire. From log stove to sweltering heatwave. DH on the path up to Worcestershire Beacon Up very early on Tuesday for the drive to Malvern to do the Malvern Hills End to End and Back Again with Malvern Walking Festival. I was on the road by 6.20am and parked in Malvern’s North Quarry Car Park by 7.25am, well in time for the 8am start from the Clock Tower. Rainy morning, dry-ish afternoon. Over most of the hilltops on the way out, around them on the way back apart from the two we’d skipped in the morning when they’d been shrouded in cloud – Worcestershire Beacon and Sugarloaf Hill. Fab views once the cloud lifted! Me at the Trig Point on Chase End Hill (191m) Treated my self to a large cup of tea from Sally’s Place cafe by British Camp on the way out and on the way back. Very glad we didn’t do all the hills in both directions … 4500ft elevation gain was enough for me (cf 7000ft). End Hill (329m) North Hill (397m) Table…
