I've been sick for the past four days. I felt trapped indoors so I decided to go for a walk in 30C (86F) weather. There's no clouds here, no wind, so it felt closer to 40C (104F), at least by my body's reckoning. This was a colossal mistake. The first bit of the walk felt great; felt good to feel the sun on my skin and to be out of the house. I stopped by a coffee shop and got an iced latte and continued on. I guess whatever endorphins/adrenaline wore out because I soon felt terrible. My nose was on fire and I could feel sweat trickle down my balls. The idea of finding a patch of shade and lying face-down on the asphalt felt super tempting. I did, however, figure out what was wrong with my database model while suffering the long walk home, so I guess it wasn't all bad? Don't be me, take better care of yourselves. Mail reply
