Julia Cameron's Morning Pages prescribe writing three pages of stream-of-consciousness thoughts each morning. Riffing on them, the morning paces I recently started earn me as much distance as I want soon after waking up. I start my days off on the right foot, making sure I get moving as a quick and early win. It's a healing and meditative practice too.
