🗓️ // Apr 12, 2026 - Apr 18, 2026 Finished up taxes just in time this week. We were kind of shocked by how much smaller our return was compared to past years once I plugged Mary's income in; we're still figuring out how to set up Mary's W4's now that she's got a couple of part time hourly roles. The other issue is that she has a couple of gigs that fall under 1099 income as well with no deductions. My own half of the income was pretty straight forward this year as I didn't have any significant side hustles last year. 🌮 We hosted a baby shower for our oldest daughter, Eawyn, and her fiancé, James, yesterday evening at this cool new local non-traditional library called The Hive. It has no books or computers, instead it's a free public event space, with a ton of different sized rooms and spaces that community members can reserve. It was the perfect venue for our needs, Mary put together the whole thing, and assembled a couple of street taco bars to feed the 40 or so friends and family…
