She said that “she asked an LLM what songs her characters might have danced to in the past. She also expressed support for the technology as a useful tool for writers.” Her admission of using AI in her writing has, inevitably, generated online criticism. As Publishers Lunch (20 May) informs us Ms Tokarczuk has responded with the following statement: Like any other conversation, remarks made before a live audience at a public event can be incorrectly understood.
