All kinds of pinball in your pocket News flash: pinball is pretty cool! For some reason, I’ve always just assumed I never cared much for it. I very rarely had chances to play it as a kid and arcades were not a thing I could visit regularly, so I never really built up an attachment that would make me pursue it in adulthood. That also meant I couldn’t build up the skills needed to make the most of pinball in general, so even if I did get to play, I didn’t necessarily take it “seriously”, preventing me from seeing how deep and fascinating the rabbit hole could go. I’m not a person who thinks you need to be good at something to enjoy it, certainly not, but I do think that understanding the possibility space, even to a slight degree, helps so much when it comes to setting expectations. I dabbled in the occasional pinball game, but not all those experiences were positive. Pokemon Pinball rocks and I have a real soft spot for Sonic Spinball, but Sonic Pinball Party beat me down in record…
