This one is interesting as it’s in an email actually delivered by Meta/Facebook, but it’s a scam. We start off with the warning that “Agency Partner Program is Meta’s partner network, any other Program is not part of or affiliated with Meta” so of course the scammer called it “Meta Agency Partner Program” and set up this totally legit looking profile: The url ends up resolving to https://www.facebook.com/ProgramPlatformAgnecy1/ in case you’re wondering, and if you didn’t catch it in the URL they misspelled “Agency” 41 followers? That’s worse than MySpace these days. They also included a helpful Facebook Messenger link in there. For me it helps to know that after my reviews of their VR offerings I’d never be offered a chance to partner with them, but considering the email actually does come from Meta’s servers, from an account impersonating Meta, it’s a mixed bag whether it will get someone. Good exploit, too many little things messed up in it though. They’ve got something standing by…
