It’s finally feeling like spring here in North Dakotaland. The grass is getting greener, the trees are just starting to bud, and neighborhoods smell like mulch. The Sixers lurch the inevitable end of their season at the hands of the Knicks while the Phillies continue their resurgence after an epic early season slump. Saturday’s big fight between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley should be interesting even if the winner might not have the aura of recent heavyweight champs like Joshua, Fury, or Usyk. I probably won’t watch the fight though. Over the last few weeks, my web surfing has been intermittent for lots of reasons, but I have been keeping a little gaggle of links to share. This will likely be my last gaggle of the academic year and I apologize for my rather desultory list of quick hits and varia: Pasts Imperfect. Blackwashing the Greek Past Brian Eno on burnout. A Summer Day in Detroit. Kind words from Noodling. Would it be too crass to imitated Neville Morley’s Day in the Year?…
