Born on August 3, 1943 in Chicago, Ladenson’s academic journey was defined by a dual expertise in philosophy and law. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin (1965), his PhD in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University (1970), and his Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law (1980).
