I was thinking - imagine if humanity ended today, like a mass extinction effect, everyone gone in a meteor strike or another virus, or nuclear annihilation, but we left behind just enough evidence of our existence, and then when the world has recovered in 65 million years, and there's been another evolutionary cycle and humans return, would we do the same thing? Would we end up with the same shit-storm we have nowadays? Or would the archaeological evidence lead us to lessons learned, and a better society? Or is this just the way we are, the way our monkey brains are wired? Is hyper-capitalism, greed, and selfishness just our natural end-state? feel free to leave a comment
