Who knows that you blog? David recently asked this question on his blog. Most people who know me are also aware that I have a blog. It's not like I shout it out every time I meet someone, but it tends to come up naturally since it's one of my dearest hobbies. I understand that some people have their reasons for not letting others know about it. Just doing their thing in their corner of the web. There's something special about having that anonymous solitude, while still being able to interact with others. But I also believe that it's very easy to deceive oneself. Pulling the anonymous card out of fear of committing. "I'm not doing this to make a name for myself. I just want to write about whatever whenever." Those words may be true. But there's also a chance that, in reality, those are the borrowed humility of a false prophet. An escape plan ready to set in motion as soon as the going gets tough.
