Had a letter to send off and the closest post office was closed for lunch, so I went to the big one downtown. This Dalton Street location makes waiting in any sort of line painless as it’s filled with fanciful details. Art Deco Architecture of Cincinnati has oodles of photographs and a little history of the architecture. This building is considered “Depression Modern” which is more functional than the zippier Streamline Moderne. I feel like this style references the exterior while all the oomph was spent on these gilded bits inside…Reply via email
