We're not really a news site, but we are a site that cares deeply about cool things. One thing I find cool is the Steam Machine and the Steam Frame — Valve's upcoming first-party hardware powered by SteamOS, their Linux-based gaming focus operating systemLast night, The Verge (paywalled) broke the news that Valve's been importing 'game consoles,' according to shipping manifests. This is a big deal since Valve has been promising their new Steam Machine and Steam Frame consoles would be shipping in the first half of this year.According to The Verge's estimates, Valve has imported as much as 50 tons of Steam Machines (or Frames or both) into the US between April 30th and May 1st.This news breaks on the heels of the Steam Controller selling out. The hotly-anticipated controller was scarcely available minutes after sales went live and was sold out within the hour.
