Unc Music

Since becoming 25, I've been asking myself one very vital question: Am I an unc now? I googled it and came up with an unc is someone who is in his 30s, which technically disqualifies me, but again, due to the few instances of hanging out with people around 17-21, I feel like I'm too old now. Last Friday, Isaiah Rashad released his newest album, and it's been on repeat. Unlike his previous works, this one tends to be more of a hip-hop neo-soul kind of album, rather than hardcore Memphis rap or the gangsta hip-hop that one might expect from a TDE signee. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this album more than anything I heard from him, and taking into account that I've also been listening to more Cameron Winter and Fontaines D.C., I wonder if my musical taste has become older or not. It's not like I haven't tried more contemporary waves, but apart from Slayr's “Half Blood”, I really couldn't click with the “rage” sound. Another funny instance was when I was listening to Fakemink.
