My Favorite Part of the Day

This morning, I read My Favourite Part of the Day posted by David over at Forking Mad+. My favorite part of the day…You know that stretch of time when the sun begins to rise until it fully climbs into the sky? That’s my favorite time of day. It’s a spectacular show and no two shows are exactly alike. As the sun rises, the birds start singing and furry critters scamper about. It’s the most peaceful time of day for me. The air is crisp, fresh, and free of life’s distractions. But there’s a downside…When daylight reveals the landscape, it’s a bit of a letdown. The sounds of nature are drowned out by the sounds of people, traffic, and other modern-day noise. It also means I need to get started with the day’s activities. Parting thoughts…Thankfully, once the show is over, the disappointment is brief. I suppose there’s always a price to pay for a little serenity. The tiny letdown is totally worth it!
