LegendOP on the Cruis’n series

I found this interesting deep dive into the Cruis’n series. If you’ve not played them before, Cruis’n is a series of racing games created by Eugene Jarvis (the guy behind Defender and Robotron: 2084). As Nintendo owns the rights to the series, the games have been available on a variety of Nintendo consoles as well as its debut on arcade. I’ve played a couple of Cruis’n titles—World and Blast—and enjoyed them; fun arcade racers and nothing more. What I didn’t know was that Eugene Jarvis and some Midway arcade developers formed Raw Thrills and made some Fast & Furious arcade racers which were basically Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in a big Cruis’n game trenchcoat. Apparently they weren’t much better either so now you know!
