I’ve only started in the past year but I love listening to records, looking at all the art. Collecting and listening to vinyl is fun for a ton of reasons. It’s a really nice complement to the other ways I listen to music, since I’ve found that the kinds of music I collect and listen to on vinyl are a little different from what I routinely listen to. But collecting vinyl? Overrated. I remember seeing recently that there’s data suggesting that half of US vinyl purchasers aren’t even listening to the records they’re buying.
