Lately I’ve not listened to anything to fall asleep to. Having a newborn baby has meant that for the first time ever I’ve gone to sleep quite easy, when the chance has arose. However, usually I always needed something on. It could be podcasts, specifically No Such Thing as a Fish (I’ve heard all the episodes before so it’s more of a comfort show now) or Northwoods Baseball Sleep Radio. The latter is full commentary of fictional baseball games designed to fall asleep to. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Sometimes though I choose to listen to music to fall asleep to. My biggest success in this regard is Dopethrone by Electric Wizard. This was such a success that before seeing them live I had a small moment of worry that I’d fall asleep during the show. It doesn’t always go well though. I can remember three instances where falling asleep listening to music did not pan out well. The first album that backfired in this regard is Pink Floyd’s classic Dark Side of the Moon. I guess you can…
