Bought a skateboard for Lumi yesterday. We even went to a proper skate shop in Düsseldorf. Maybe I went a little overboard (no pun intended), but my thinking is that if she has a really good one, she'll probably have more fun and learn faster than with a cheap one. She now owns the kind of skateboard I always wanted as a kid – I never properly learned, probably because the one I had was too heavy and clunky. Funny thing is, she never took to inline or roller skating, but taught herself to be halfway steady on a skateboard over the course of an afternoon. It was clear pretty quickly that she enjoys this much more. Really looking forward to so much skating this summer – her on the skateboard, me on my inline skates! 👉 View one more image
