Sunrise, April 30, 2026Migration has moved into a higher gear now, with new birds appearing every day. Looking back at my previous reports, there are plenty of birds I haven’t seen yet that I had seen by this time in the past few years. Both orioles that are common here, Baltimore and orchard, are beautiful singers! I love hearing their flute-like sounds echoing across the lake. Orchard oriole belting out his beautiful tune.I’ve had the good fortune to stand in multiple “swirls”, with birds zooming all around. The tree swallows are still here in large numbers, and I wish everyone could experience the delight of tree swallows swooping all around them.
