Inspired by a hashtag that was used for a short while on Mastodon, I have decided to adopt this term for a post in the explicit hope that others join in and it becomes a small trend. Fingers crossed. The premise is simple. Just list some bands or artists you love from your part of the world. You can be as specific on location as you want. I would enjoy it if people joined in although I appreciate not everybody is comfortable sharing this information online. I’m going to select five bands. Two are pretty popular and the rest are smaller. Starting with the bigger bands we have death metal and grindcore royalty in Carcass. What is there that needs to be said. Some amazingly influential extreme metal that laid a blueprint for a lot of bands after them. Whether they were influenced more by the earlier gore filled grind stuff or the more melodic death metal of Heartwork. They’re one of the best to do it.
