Pastel Beauties – Havana, Cuba A small subset of the group walked towards the water, the port area next to Old Havana. And though it was a short distance, there was a noticeable change in the architecture and the character of the neighborhood. I particularly like these two pastel-colored structures. Unlike the central part of Old Havana, where there is greater density and block after block of buildings connected to each other, these structures stand proud. The pastel colors give it a coastal vibe. Behind me was the port, though there wasn’t much activity. Our destination was a building repurposed as a shopping center for inexpensive souvenirs and art. That coverage will come shortly. Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine. Signup for the free magazine to get articles and topics not discussed on the blog.
