I feel like I sleep yet I wake up tired. This isn’t an uncommon thing for me. I’ve had hypothyroidism most of my adult life. I also have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (which is probably the cause of the hypothyroidism). Thyroid problems can be the cause of waking up tired. When I start to feel wonky, all I need to do is go to my doctor and say “I feel off”. He checks my thyroid level and, most of the time, my lab results are off. The fix is a simple medication adjustment but it doesn’t work overnight. It takes time. My regular spring appointment is already scheduled for Friday so I may as well stick it out until then. Then again, I’ve been particularly busy ever since I got to northwest Illinois. That could also be all or part of the problem. Just another day of living with a body that likes to do things differently. I do my best to work with it but it has a mind of its own… and when I’m flippin’ tired… I just don’t wanna!
